The state of Kerala is on the Malabar Coast in southern India. The least impoverished state in the country, it is a major tourist destination where sandy beaches, backwaters and tropical greenery are among its attractions.

These images bring to life my memories of our trip to India.
The wildlife images captured the beauty and character of the animals, I especially liked how the lighting on the tiger behind the tree brought out her colours.
The Cochin backwaters and Boatlady reflect the serenity of the region away from the hustle bustle of Kochi city.
I love the colourfulness of Kochi street scenes, and the Kochi fisherman casting his net illustrates the ancient method of fishing juxta-positioned with the modern industrialism.
